Peace Hip-Hop !!
First and foremost, i'd like to thank my man Ernest for connecting the dots between me and his Urban Word NYC family. Second, i'd like to thank Shaun (Urban Word) for treating the kid with much love and respect (thank you brother), i appreciate that love homie. Last, but most importantly, the poets who came out and reached many people by pouring their heart & souls out to the World. The experience at Washington Irving High School was like non-other, because these kids are the definition of talent, struggle, and true Hip-Hop !!
In attendance was, K-Swift (homie was feeling my "AFRICA" crew neck, true i does this "Fly Style" like they do "Wild Style", LOL), Africa Bam, Russell Simmons, HBO Films, and other folks in support of these young poets. Shout to the boutiques who were also in the building besides Sneaker Bistro; ALIFE, Sugar Headquarters, The Brooklyn Circus, and Goliath. It's good to see that there is still a HUGE amount of love to keep us living, and moving forward. I spent most of the night with Samantha ('07 Slam Team" winner/member, thank you love for your love).
Side Note: To those of you who fronted, i shake my head at you big time, because you missed out, and you know who you are !!
