Knicks PF/C Amar'e Stoudemire has been known to rock shoes that have extra support in the mid-foot region as he bounced back and forth between the Nike KD II's, Nike Zoom Huarache TR in the same season. After recently resigning with Nike in the offseason, STAT has been blessed with his own unofficial sneaker in the Knicks' colorway. The Nike Air Max Sweep Thru Quickstrike features a Max Air Unit in the heel and a crossing mid-foot strap to keep Amar'e strapped in when he's doing stuff like this (pending the Lockout) :
